A holy tank which is placed on the spot is the main attraction of visitors. This sacred tank was constructed by Chitrarao Khatarkar in the year 1696. The water body is spread over an area of 27 meters by 12 meters.

People believed that it was the place where Lord Ram stayed for sometime during the period of his exile. Every day disciples from far places trip here to take a Holy Dip. Hindu followers believed that Mortal (Asthi) remains immersed in this kund and are directly absorbed in water. A person prays here at the time of immersing their family and relatives Asthi so that their soul may remain in peace wherever they are. Every Hindu believed that it is an important task to take a dip in this holy water body to have a blissful life. The ashes of Mahatama Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi and were dropped in this sacred kund.

Gandhi Talav (lake) which was built in the memory of father of nation – Mahatama Gandhi ji is another attraction in Ramkund. One can also witness the historical monument which was built of white marble. The amazing architecture style of the monument lures the attention of tourists.

During Hindu festival times, the place overflows with pilgrimages from different spots.  Especially during the Kumba Mela scores of Sadhus, Holy Men and Pilgrims gather here to pray for a future blissful life and take a dip in the sacred Kund.
